I wanted to take some time to publicly thank a number of people who have mentored me over the last 25 years. Some of them personally. Others who are no longer with us through their teachings and thoughs they left behind. Here are a few things why I think people should seek mentors and why I now am happy to mentor others.
Role Models – I believe there is a big difference between talking and doing. The best people to learn from are those who already live and have the lifestyle you want to enjoy. They are people who practice what they preach. They are people who are happy to show you the way and demonstrate by their example.
Thought Leaders – A mentor is more than a teacher. They are someone who thinks differently and helps to shape your perspective and mindset. They challenge your beliefs and help you see there is a different and better way to live your life than what conventional wisdom would teach. I believe the best mentors have done that for me. They have opened my eyes and my understanding that has profoundly affected my outlook on life and the way I live my life daily.
Many people have influenced my life, but I wanted to acknowledge a few that have invested in me - directly or indirectly.
I first met Peter J Daniels in 1994 in El Paso TX. He gave a 3-day conference called Success at Abundant Living Faith Center. His message inspired and challenged me! I have listened to those messages at least 1,000 times. And they continue to inspire and motivate me. He said, "What is this dream that you have?" "Turn on your dream machine!" "Entrepreneurs are the lifeblood of this country!" "Devel
I began to study Peter Daniels' book "How to Reach your Life Goals". I then studied the Destiny program. He always said, "May God expand your life until your destiny is fulfilled."
Peter J. Daniels sent me this photo of him with Norman Vincent Peale and W. Clement Stone. It says, "To Alex, you are the only great guy missing from this picture." Peter Daniels always had a way to impact people's liv
I had an opportunity to fly to Australia to meet with Peter J. Daniels and his son Graham Daniels 1:1 twice - first in 2015 and again in 2017. I gave him a copy of my book Financial Freedom as a way to thank him for helping me accomplish all I had achieved in my life. He issued a dedication for this book which he wanted me to share with the world. I am honored I had the opportunity and privilege
I first heard of Haggai Institute for Advanced Leadership Ttraining in 1994 from Peter Daniels. I began to donate to the ministry ten years later. I then started to attend their annual galas. It was then that I first heard Dr. John Edmund Haggai speak for the first time. Dr. Haggai's vision and commitment to the Great Commission is like none other I have ever seen. His life and devotion to taking
I first heard of John Assaraf through the movie the Secret where he shared his story about his dream home. Later I read his book "The Answer." I had a desire to be trained by him. This came true a few years later when I spent a year learning about business directly from John. This photo was taken at his home in San Diego, CA. John taught me that the best way to reach your goals is to create a Vis
I first heard of Garrett J. White in 2017 through a video series on Facebook. He had a program called Warrior Book. I purchased that program and attended several Warrior Conferences in Southern California that year.
In 2018 I had the privilege and opportunity to be mentored 1:1 by Garrett in a program called Syndicate. I attended Warrior Week 51 as part of this experience.
Warrior was the missing piece in my life to help me grow to another level as a man, a husband, a father, and a leader.
Having spent 1 year with Garrett I was able to observe a man of great passion and intensity, a man who give the word Commitment a new meaning. A man who teaches that the no. 1 principle to live by is the Truth. He also taught me that the only thing that matters is Results. To get
